Gorgeous!!!! I don't know about you, but it would take me a lot of courage to make a chain like that in gold. Hats off to you! I'd be so paranoid about messing up all that gold.

That's why I like lost wax casting! What mistakes? Yeah, but you can't cast that Viking knit chain. Those things are awesome!

It was a bit nerve wracking at first, but after awhile you just forget that it's gold and weaving muscle memory takes over.

My hands started to spasm and my arthritis flared up just thinking about weaving that chain.
That is a beauty that i will never do in any material lol

I love gold. Very nice to see. It has an almost "fabric" look to it.
Like an elegant cloth napkins and a fine restaurant. Only better because it's gold!

When you do stuff like that, do you break the edges and polish before your fold?? Or it's soft enough to fold then polish and smooth edges?

Don that is brilliant! Outstanding! No one asked so I will. How many hours? Stunning job. Many, many, hours in the weaving. probably somewhere around 10 hours broken up in 1 hour sessions. Many more hours in crafting the findings, pendant, assembling, polishing, etc.
