My girlfriend and I have just started getting into tumbling rocks and rock hunting in general. I just have to try and convince her to not take EVERY pretty rock that she finds home with us. LOL To tell the truth I have trouble leaving some of them behind too! We are going to run out of room fast if we aren't careful.
We recently made our first rock hunting trip up to a place not too far from Phx called Diamond Point and had a great time. We are researching more places that are close enough to Phx. that we can explore on a weekend and have decided to try some geode hunting for our next trip.

Welcome from Indiana! Just make sure that the girl friend carries her own rocks. She'll learn that the farther you go, the heavier they get!

Go ahead and take them all home that is what I do, You can always find something to do with them like throwing them at speeding cars (* just kidding I don't recommend that ) But I do have quite a pile rocks in my yard. BTW welcome from Fallbrook Ca. bill

Welcome to the forum. Hope you have a great experience with everyone here. I live in Utah, and have a good size collection myself, but The cool thing about joining is getting involved in traveling Boxes, trips, and rock exchanges.
