I got my new wheels on today, but fate was intervening at every turn. Either the phone was ringing, people were dropping in unannounced or a cab was not cooperating. After everything got sorted out, though, I got 6 hard stones done (not counting 3 duds!). The rest are from the old wheels. Large willow creek manganese dendrites in limestone covellite- I'm crappy at circles! This is a very high dome. very nice pietersite- very bad picture. You can't see the chatoyance in a picture. dumortierite Indian moss agate Montana agate crazy cool bloody bloodstone. So shiny, it's hard to photograph. small freeform of dino bone geezer sent some red horn coral to try out. This is my first. The top pattern is off center and the pattern fades rapidly, so I tried to keep it a hi dome to preserve the pattern. It's wicked cool in person. This is the first cab that I have cabbed with no girdle and a high dome. The stone is more red than orange. Thank you! Here's a side shot. I can't wait to get an earlier start tomorrow. Thanks for looking!

Very nice. Circles are very hard to do and get even.

Very nice. Circles are very hard to do and get even. Thanks! With harder stones it is easier. That covellite was really soft and had some calcite in it. It started out a thick square and I tried to freeform it.

Love covelite , pietersite, and Montana. I think rounds are easier to do by sticking dip stick in rotary drill and putting that to the wheels. Ed taught me. Harbor Freight rotary about $15.

You always seem to make the best stone choices Tela and that dendritic is tops in my book. I need to dig out a piece of the dendritic opal from my trip with Russ to Spanish Point and send it to you.
The reflection on that bloodstone is so strong I can see your nipple in it. Hey, I can not help my imagination, joking spirit AND dumb enough to admit it. Jim

The manganese dendrites in limestone looks like a piece of artwork and the red horn coral is amazing!
