When I was polishing it I noticed one of the shanks was not quit right so I tried to remedy what I saw with the torch and desoldered the whole double shank into the 4 pieces it consisted of.and all she needed was a final buff.then when setting the stone,(the bezel on this ring is extremely thick)it chipped a pressure flake over the edge and partly on top of my cab,so if you look closely at the cab, bottom left you will see where it dips in about a half mm Thanks for the look Dave

I'm in love! I absolutely love that bead set in the shank. It reminds me of Atlas for some reason. I like the triangle wire for the shank, too. Well.... I guess I just like it all.

So, is that a step bezel and what gauge is the bezel? Looks substantial. (and super cool)

Athough I have already seen this I got to tell you its great. How did you get the round ball, well round? Or is it an actual stainless bearing?

There is a bearing/step inside at 4mm from the top,I wanted the cab elevated from the back plate as to allow light to penetrate and reflect back(I polished the inside of the bezel and back as well).the shank is two pieces of 4 ga triangular stock. Once again thank you all Dave

I've tried to make one tiny adjustment towards the end and spent the next day trying to salvage the piece. Thinking the whole time, "What an idiot! I should have left it alone, no one would have ever noticed!" But the fact is I noticed so it had to be fixed. I don't know if being that anal is good for a jeweler or not. Probably yes. I can only see the small chip now that you've pointed it out. Doesn't look unnatural. And these pics are like looking under a microscope.

Yes it is a bummer to be anal, when I fabricate I try and make all seams flawless as if it were cast.the chip is gone from the stone I had to modify the dome slightly
