Done. I guess saying 'break a leg' would be in bad taste.

Done. I guess saying 'break a leg' would be in bad taste. Not as long as they do it RIGHT!

I'm back!
This has been an experience! I remember moving to the operating table, and nothing else until I woke up in the recovery room. They were ready to move me to my room when my eyes "started filling with sparkles" They said I passed out, but I don't remember that part. They kept me in recovery for another hour to make sure I was OK.
They didn't get me up until the next day. On my first trip around the hall I graduated from the walker to my cane. On the second trip I met my therapist's "work husband" ( the guy picks on the most. He was sitting in the nurse's station. I asked "do you want me to moon him? She replied "I dare you!) Don't ever dare me to do anything.............. They were still ribbing him about this as I was leaving.
They would have let me out yesterday, but the incision was bleeding a little more than they would have liked. Ice pack, and pressure overnight took care of everything. No staples or stitches, the incision is only 5 inches long and is glued shut. I'll ask what they use- I want to try it on dop sticks!
If any of you ever need a hip replacement, find a surgeon who does the anterior hip replacement. The hip felt much better right after the surgery than it did at good times before. The incision is much smaller, and they don't cut through any major muscles- they just move them out of the way. I can go back to work on June 1st, and If I don't need the pain meds I can start driving this Saturday!
Anyhoo, thanx folks for all of the prayers and good thoughts, thet are greatly appreciated!
