I started to rockhounding at parrsboro, nova scotia in febuary and going there every weekend since i discover that i have access to those minerals....!! We walk so many km along the shore, from mckay's head to clark's heads and also all around partridge island..... next step will be along the shore by blomidon. I can't get enough of these beautiful crystals....!

Welcome to the forum, Jess. You should post some pictures of the stuff you're finding. If you decide to, you'll need a Flickr or Photobucket account. Copy the bb code here.

Welcome aboard Jess. I've been out the last two weekends to many of your new found locations, but haven't run across you yet. It's just a matter of time. The beaches aren't exactly crowded, are they? Laura and I were out with two friends from Halifax last weekend and stumbled over some fresh falls of orange Stilbite on the western side of Partridge Island just before the fishing weir. Also witnessed two rock falls after the recent rain, so use care around the cliffs. They are still quite active.
We also collect with another set of friends from Amherst who often join us for a day of hounding. PM me sometime if you want to join forces on a beach and meet a few more local enthusiasts.
Darryl.

Welcome to the forum Jessica. Hope you have a great experience with everyone here. I live in Utah, and have a good size collection myself, but The cool thing about joining is getting involved in traveling Boxes, trips, and rock exchanges, and sharing pictures.
Can't wait to see some of your rocks.
