Admittedly got a little impatient with this batch... As in, I only let it polish for 3 days vs 6-7 Any of the stuff that looked too matte was put back in, so I'll update this thread with the material still in the tumbler when it's ready. Ocean jasper 1 & 2. Some really snowy looking druzy pockets on them that didn't carry any extra grit from step to step! Really nice material, I have some more from the same guy that I hope tumbles even half as well. One of the montanas I got from bigsky.. I had another in there but it was pretty beat up. Really dendritic material even if it wasn't exactly well priced A pescadero beach agate! Has some really cool inclusions and is super shiny, but you can't really see that well in direct sunlight. And the reason why I was so impatient.. Pescadero beach jasper! It has some metallic flakes of what is probably pyrite but it's hard to photograph well with an iphone camera. Thanks for looking!

Some blurry quartzite that I picked up because it reminded me of butterscotch. Chert? Whatever it is it's hard and it took a wonderful polish. It went in with some chips and even with several weeks in the rough stage it hardly did anything. Oh well. That beach agate in better lighting! Told you it was shiny. And the jasper in better lighting. You can see the hematite (thanks @shotgunner !) a lot better.

Nice rocks with a great shine. My favorite is the ocean jasper, but they're all really nice. Extra credit for collecting some yourself.

For druzy pockets in the future, i recommend filling them with wax. Then remove the wax by submerging in hot water. The wax will float to the top. The only hard part is allowing the wax to fill the pocket, but not resist the polishing....
Nice work kiddo!
