Get the question out of the way - Has anyone used the aquarium gravel for tumbler filler media?

Wondering how it might work.
OK first post from Northern Colorado.
Getting back into lapidary this summer after 40 or so years off doing other things. Course when the waterfowl seasons open in September I'll be hard to find again.
Live in Livermore Colorado. On a map go northwest from Ft Collins towards Laramie, WY on US 287 to Livermore. We're between Livermore and Red Feather Lakes which is 24 miles west of Livermore. Just at the southern most curve of 74E, Red Feather Lakes Road. BAD road by the way if you're ever out this way. Been here 10 years and half the wrecks I've seen on it involve fatalities. Better be up on the wheel.
Our driveway is at 7,100 feet elevation and since the tallest peaks in Colorado are 14ers I jokingly say we're only half high in Colorado. As luck would have it we landed in a poor place for a recrudescent rock hound. Sandstone (some great cross bedding though), limestone and granite, some rotten. Radon anyone? Wildlife abounds and the only species in Colorado we haven't seen from the front porch is antelope. However we do have to go downhill to see Big Horn sheep.
Equipment wise I have 2 3# rotary tumblers, a 6" trim saw, a 10" slab saw and a Cab Mate. The LS-10 and Cab Mate I've carried through many moves and 5 states. The saw still cuts so well you can start a polish with 220. Since I know I'll be adding equipment (eyes out right now for a vibrating flat lap) and have to build a bench maybe y'all could post up some pictures of your benches and describe any neat touches you put in? I'm a bit (read that a lot!) on the lazy side to search out any such threads on this forum so if there's one out there already maybe you can direct me to it?
That's about it for now......
