Im sure many people have ask the same question one or two...million times. But when your doing rock stuff you think of stupid stuff.
So, what's the difference between a rock, a stone, a pebble ?

Rocks are made of stone, Pebbles are small ones.

Ok, rocks are made of stones then you have Gem stones or gem rocks? Cobble stones or cobble rocks?

Looks like I cut a lot of very coarse gravel, the entire size range of cobble, and an occasional small boulder.

Ok, rocks are made of stones then you have Gem stones or gem rocks? Cobble stones or cobble rocks? Gemstone is its own word. So gemrock is not a thing. Same for cobblestones. In my mind a rock and a stone are synonyms and I use those words as such.

A nodule could be anything from gravel to boulder by those classifications
