I wouldn't normally create a post about tumbling rough, but this bunch was too pretty not to. This is mostly from the material in the box of rocks I got from Roger for winning the May tumbling contest. It is way too hot out to stand outside on the saw for more than an hour or so, but this is what I got done yesterday. A little more trimming and some sorting for hardness and they'll be ready to roll. Barely scratched the surface of the box I got.

He donated some really nice material for that prize. I felt guilty cutting up some of it for tumbles. Some of it didn't get touched, saving for a later date. Great fun to get a big box of rocks in the mail. There's another prize up in the air for the month of June, hope everyone is getting last minute entries in.

Jaw droppers. To pretty to wait, may be a long tumble garage.

No problem waiting, jamesp. I enjoy the process as much as the result. I'll get to handle them quite a bit over the next 2 to 3 months before they're relegated to 'the bowl'.

Never not had a raised eyebrow when non tumblers ask about the process. Most amazed at the length of time required.
