Me too, I think it's olivine in basalt but I am not sure. Both rocks are from the same large rock. Hubby brought the sledge hammer to break it up but we could only get chips of it. Very tough!

Looks like those are coming along nicely!!
You have some nice ones! I like the green one what ever stone that is.
Might I recommend making your pictures a little smaller? They are bigger than the screen allows so I cannot look at the entire stone at one time. If you are taking these with your camera phone you would have to go into your camera settings and change the size. Just wanted to let you know as I'm sure others

BEAUTIFUL!!!! Please tell me those are still wet photos. If not, I am doing SO many things wrong... My stuff doesn't look that shiny coming out of polish, let alone stage 2!

really? i was thinking olivine. both are found in the area. i found that rock just north of Kulane (sp) Park in the Yukon.

opened the tumbler up Friday. not quite happy so i recharged it and its rolling. might open it tonight, might leave till tomorrow.
