Maybe you could add some pearly-whites like Salvador Dali did with this ruby/pearl piece. Just kidding: I think it's great the way it is. Trying to polish the inside area would be a tedious job anyhow.

Hahaha ChicagoDave great minds think alike - before I even read your post I went off to get this to post just for dottyt Great song, but I'm not looking! And if you think the current contrast is too strong you should polish it. You are the one seeing it in real life. I agree with the go with what your muse is telling you for anyone with an artistic sense (which you have). Not sure who the muse of cabbing would be though....

And you know he just did it because bugging people can be presented as "art" to the easily influenced.

I say leave it. BUT- maybe you can use one of those brass bristle brushes on the foredom to clean up the frost. Just a thought- try at your own risk.

What a unique gem! I would not change a thing. It actually gives the impression of the teeth and tongue.
Peace,
Rich

I thought about that but I tested it on another stone that has some inside features I wan't get the calcium out of and the brush immediately left brass stains behind.

I was going to edit my post to say never mind after I thought about it. I figured it would probably leave some brass. I wonder abt the steel one. It's much stiffer, though. Anyway, my firefox crashed super hard! Never happened before.

I would leave as is or just use a soft toothbrush and soap if anything. Buy a pack of bamboo bbq skewer sticks and cut them to the size of a bur. Shape the top into a point or round into a ball etc. These are your burs to lock into the Foredom that you apply diamond paste or polish. They are soft and don't leave marks as well as bend and form to whatever area you are polishing. This is being used for carvings as well as some fantasy cut facets so figured I would add that in. Tommy, Maybe Muriatic acid would remove some of the frosting. It won't hurt the agate. Lynn

knew you wouldn't like my rolling stone stone tongue Haha it was so awesome I clicked like twice ... which effectively canceled the first like of course. That's my story anyway. To be honest I didn't see it as a tongue till now haha. The guy with you - wasn't he in Weekend at Bernies?

He dropped a motorcycle head in a bucket of it and I guess it reacted to the grease and caused a cloud of gas over the whole back yard.

Put it up Tommy, it's one of a kind and should be displayed as such. It's a rock star without the help of the rolling Stones imo.

I'd leave it exactly as it currently is. Remember, if you change it in any way you can NEVER go back to the original. Sometimes the change works out...but when it doesn't I hate myself!
