Very nice! thanks for sharing. The self collected material is a special kind of cool.

Nice work, I'm curious to see what you come up with for the butterfly idea.

Good batch. That quartz with tourmaline gets my prospecting juices flowing though my legs wouldn't hold out long on mountain trails these days. Did it look like it had traveled very far from the original deposit? Nice work.

Good batch. That quartz with tourmaline gets my prospecting juices flowing though my legs wouldn't hold out long on mountain trails these days. Did it look like it had traveled very far from the original deposit? Nice work. It was on the very top of the ridge, like 1600 vertical feet and 4 miles from the trailhead. I imagine it was the last of it but I've been wanting to go back and poke around some more. It's a county park though, close to national forest boundary but I think the spot I found it was county park and I don't think you're supposed to collect there. It was a small rock though so just a small infraction :-)

Cannot wait to see the butterflies. I like the cabs, especially the tourmaline in quartz and the labradorite.

Nice cabs. I like the idea of the butterfly using the labradorite for the wings.

Hey, where there is a will, there is a way. Glad you got to work on some really sweet cabs. Can't wait to to see the butterfly.
