Can someone identify this for me. I have a debate going with a friend. This was found in Indonesia, I think it is a flame agate and he says it is Bumble Bee Jasper. Thanks in advance.

Definitely not bumble bee. There is an Indonesian Flame Agate but I've not seen a lot of it. What I have seen reminds me more of Mexican Roostertail Agate. Your example does appear to have some nice flame like plumes in it though. Lot of neat material coming out of that part of the world that does not show up at our little local show. Maybe someone who hit's Quartzite this year can positively ID your example...Mel

I've seen this advertised as bumblebee japser by recent indonesian rock traders on Facebook, but it looks nothing like the original bumblebee material. I'm assuming that it's a new material that they're trying to capitalize on the bumblebee popularity.

The guy on facebook thinks he has bumble bee but he actually has flame agate, he collects it himself and has shared his dig site with me. Thanks everyone.
