I guess I can post this in this section. It does have a hand made bail soldered on it at least. This was a last minute Christmas gift from my 12 year old to his mom. I gave him the idea on Christmas eve and he picked out the design and did the acid etching. Soldering on this bail is about all the soldering I have done in awhile. Chuck

Fantastic really. Mom must be very happy.

Cool! Andrew knows more about acid etching than I do. (I have no idea how that was done.)

Cool! Andrew knows more about acid etching than I do. (I have no idea how that was done.) About as easy as it gets Rob. A piece of copper roof flashing from the hardware store and $10 bottle of ferric chloride would get you going. Any exposed copper that is not covered in sharpie marker or tape gets dissolved by the acid. My wife has tons of rubber stamps with designs on them for making greeting cards so it was as simple as stamping on the design and dipping it for 40 minutes. Add a drilled hole and jump ring it is a super easy project. Chuck

Beautiful. The dendritic margin adds a wonderful detail.

My wife and I both like that a lot, thanks for the pic. and description. I think she is going to try talking me into helping with a similar project.

Wow. That etching stuff looks like fun. You are going to have some master jewelers if not already.
