Just wanted to say hi and I've been learning a lot from this forum. I started tumbling about a week and a half ago with a harbor freight single barrel. I've already upgraded to a Lortone 33b double barrel with some extra barrels to boot. Doing good with my patience so far. Just looked at my first batch again in course grind and put them back in for some more. Have a second barrel going with a new batch. I figured 2 barrels for course grit always going on the Lortone 33b and then use the HF tumbler for the other stages for now.

Welcome from Michigan! It sounds like you have a good plan with the three barrels. Please ask questions as they come up. People here are very willing to help.

Thank ya'll. I'm in South Texas by the way, forgot to add that part. I'm still reading the old post here and so far that has answered all my questions. I will probably have some questions when I get to make a trip to Central Texas. I ended up with some kind of old green stone working station a few years back when my uncle passed. I'm feeling the urge to go get it now and see what all its about. Guess I've been bit by the stone bugđ.

The above portion of your last post is the best thing I have seen from a new member in awhile. There is so much knowledge to be passed along in all the old posts. Glad you spent the time to do that. I cant help with any Texas related rock questions but we have a bunch of members that can. Chuck

Thanks chuck. You are right about the knowledge here. All the experienced people here have already been through the trial and error phase and figured out what works the best so I believe in learning from that. I'm researching rock identification and mohs hardness scale right now, I admit I don't have a clue what I'm tumbling. They just caught my eye.

Thanks wigglinrocks. I've always liked looking at rocks so I believe I've had the stone bug for awhile. I'm just now doing something about it finally.

Thanks wigglinrocks. I've always liked looking at rocks so I believe I've had the stone bug for awhile. I'm just now doing something about it finally. I think a lot of us started out that way . My trouble it took me 50 years to be doing something about it .
