On one of my rock collecting river trips I found some 1/2 inch thick glass that was broken up pretty good so I got a bunch of it to tumble. I added some more glass that I found around the house to try and fill up the 6 pound barrel. It seemed to go really fast and stage one was only a week long. Finished out with 9 days of polish with about half plastic pellets in a 3 pound barrel. I am still getting the hazy look that my first rocks from Christmas had, and in fact, I included some glassy looking rocks from that Christmas tumble to try and improve the polish on them. I finished out with two 1 hour long Burnishing rolls.

I think the frosted glass is very pretty, but it looks as if you might be asking for help to get them shinier. If so, I would use some pre- polishing steps and then the final polish.

I had some rocks come out of polish very shiny, so I repolished the frosty glass from my first attempt and it all came out really good and clear. Here are some interesting pieces which I think are from a TV Picture tube.

I found some drinking glass tumblers with some really thick stylish bases on them. I broke off the cylinder of glass at the top leaving just the base and it has just finished stage 1 course a coupla days ago and they already look great. I'll post pics when I get them polished in about a month
I think it,s funny that I am Tumbling Tumblers . . .

That came out very fine. Some sell the frosted ones as "sea glass."
Peace,
