Hi folks,
I did a Google search for the site and didn't have the best of luck. Maybe I didn't use the right search terms.
I have been using 60/90 for my first grind in a rotary. I just bought some 45/70 to use for shaping. In terms of steps, should I first run the 45/70, move to 60/90, and then go on from there? Or, can I just go from 45/70 to 120/220 Sic? I am thinking to go to 60/90 just to help get rid of scratches. Am I wrong or right? Thanks and regards.

Given that the close comparative grit size runs to an overlap, once they are used up in the cycle, probably no real difference in the slurry that's left, or the result on the rock. Run either for rough, then to 120/220.

I go from 46/70 to 120/220 with no issues.

Thanks quartz and ChicagoDave. Glad to see I don't need to run the additional step. Appreciate the help. Regards. Dave
