I think I fixed my noisy saw! Might have just been an issue with loose parts...lets hope!

Hi everyone, female lapidary hobbyist from Wyoming. I have come here today because there is only so much you can learn from YouTube about this stuff. I have two Lortone machines and a tumbler...wanting to be more seasoned in the know-how of the lapidary skills. We have some great minerals here in Wyoming, and I have tons of rocks that are waiting to be cut on my trim saws. I just acquired a Lortone 10" Trim Saw for Christmas, and the other saw is actually a Lortone 6" combination unit I've had a few years now I managed to buy from an old man for $50! The 6" is missing some parts, has been a little modified, but it works good. I'm not a know-it-all, wanting to and need to learn a lot more than I know now. Anyway, just wanted to get the hello thanks for letting me join out of the way first. I will be back later to ask about some troubleshooting on my 10" saw...its making some funky noises!

from Tennessee. Spent only a few hours last year in Wyoming (driving between Utah and S Dakota). But managed to grab a few pieces of labradorite while I was there. Your right about having some great material in your home state. I could spend two weeks there and only dust the surface of places I would love to visit.
