Well I was looking for some thoughts good and bad but most importantly honest blunt opinions on an older 14"Covington slab saw I found on sale for $375. Should I snap it up or let it chill on the back burner of wants? -- Also Lortone Beaver 8" arbor with a disc and one 8" expands wheel for a hundred bucks. That would be a "snap that up quick!" mode of action. Am I right? Oh and it's new. Any words of thought on these two items of equipment?

I have an 18". Are you handy? Meaning if an issue arises are you able to diagnose and correct?
If so the price is good.

Covington is one of the long lasting companies. Over 150 years. Not a bad price even if you had to replace a few parts. The older stuff (in my opinion) is the better quality. Oh, the choices we have to make.

Sound like pretty low prices. I'd jump on both of those. Lynn

I would snap up both of them at that price. You could always resell them and probably make a few bucks. There really is not a lot to go wrong on a saw except the bearing dn they are replaceable.
