They look great. Photography I am not great at but maybe different lighting and on white paper. I bet they are super shiny.

A fellow at my gem club attaches some eyes and pipe cleaner legs and makes really great turtles for the kids from small tumbled thunder egg halves.

Those are nice. Sometimes the outside of the thunder egg does not want to take a good shine, but yours look like they did just fine. Thanks for sharing with us.

The outer exterior is Rhyolite,it doesn't take much of a shine,but it looks like you nailed it! Thumbs up

You're not the only one. I tumble these all the time and have a small collection of quarter-sized t-egg halves.

Thanks for sharing your pics. I don't know of anything else to do with them, but throw them in the tumbler either. They do look like turtle shells.
