Checking in. Tough past 6 months, but I survived. Almost blind now, until I can afford the $1200.00 plus for new glasses.
Unemployed, and not eligible for any benefits other than minimal unemployment. Mergers suck! Looking for a job is tough when one cannot see, lol.
Still walking the fields looking for rocks. Have found many more coral fossils. Also what may be either a bone or pet wood. Lots of new, large (2+ lb) agates. Many Wisconsin Jaspers in yellow, pink and white. Guess if one has the eye, no matter how blurred it is, you can find treasurers. I just go by shapes and colors now. Once I wash them off, I can take photos with phone. Then transfer to computer and enlarge them to see what I found. About 75% of what I am getting is worth it. The rest will go in new rock garden, which I am getting help with.
Was able to get to storage unit at old place and found something I thought was long gone. My rock tumbler. Will be posting questions about that in the appropriate forum.
I also have lots of stuff for sale right now. Will share my AZ Sleeping Beauty cabs, coral cabs, other turquoise cabs and sterling/nickel silver findings purchased or made in the mid 1980’s here in the appropriate thread.
Glad to be back. Love seeing everyone’s new finds and creations.

Hi there, I moved the thread for you. It gets confusing with 2 Life Universe sections. One is for posts, one is not. Sorry to hear abut your sight and unemployment. You sound to be in pretty good spirits about it, though. Looking forward to seeing what your offers will be. ETA- If there is any way anyone can give you any help- let the board know. And don't go too cheap on your prices, either.

Sorry to hear of your issues. My mum has recently had a sight scare and has very poor vision. What do you require in terms of glasses? $1200 seems very steep. Do you have a prescription or do you also need treatment?

Do you have a prescription or do you also need treatment? prescription. Special glasses for night driving that correct for astigmatism and cataracts. Also no line trifocals. Safety glasses is what I would prefer, due to all the farm work I do here. Very windy area and sometimes hay I am throwing to horses is blown back in my face. CAnnot begin to imagine what cost of surgery would be. Glasses would have very inexpensive frames, say less than $50.00. It os all in the lenses. Thanks for asking.
