Sort of finished material from my “toy” tumbler. Not bad. Drilled holes in two, started a 3rd, then stopped to take some photos to share. Considering these had sat in the tumbler barrel since the 1990’s, I am happy with the results. I have no idea what the stones are. The turquoise colored ones do not appear to be Turquoise. Look more like dyed Magnesite to me. Now, what in the world was I doing mixing Magnesite with harder materials? Young and foolish when trying to do things on my own before the internet was available for help? Also did not remember that dyed Magnesite was available back then. The lower middle one has a nice gloss, just did not show up in photos. It is just under 2” long for reference. Found it strange I had purchased similar stones at a garage sale here last fall. Do you think it is worthy of entering in current contest here? I can get better photos that show off the gloss. Since I finished it today, would it qualify? Any thoughts on what the upper darker stones are? Photos do not capture the deep purple color. These were only the best from the batch that were finished to my liking. I think I am keeping the ones with a soft gloss as is. Many of my customers do not like high gloss focal beads for the natural necklaces and bracelets I make. Now to finish the Beautiful Amethyst that was also in the mix. Not in the barrel, but in the box. These are not good enough for Flickr, so just posting thumbs here. Thanks for looking.

Tumbling is not for those in a hurry. Look how nicely they turned out!
