Nice collection of shiny rocks! Lots of variations to look over. Good looking batch, Mike. Thanks Randy. Not gettin a good shine really, I HAVE to get another drum for my UV10 dedicated to polish. The SiC just embeds in the HDPE so it's like having time released coarse grit. There's an idea for jamesp.....

What's the little brown striped rock with a lot of glare on it in the bottom right corner of the second picture? Banded iron? I like it, whatever it is.

Mike You are a showoff. Grin.. Just a boat load of shiny rocks. Take a few months to get so many and so shiny? Looks great. Makes me want to go play with my rocks now..

How long did you run them in the rotary to get them that round? A month and a half?

I don't have a dedicated polish barrel yet for the uv-10 but I only run the ao-80 seems like it breaks down enough it doesn't matter. ive never put sic in it though.

That may have come from some of the bags of decorative rocks I picked up at the Dollar Tree store to use as smalls. The bags state Product of Canada so you've probably correct about the banded iron ID.

How many runs you put through your UV10? No embedded AO? That brings up an interesting question, even if AO 80 was carried over would it affect the polish? Your results seem to indicate it does not. Need to get some.
