Looks like granite to me. That one tan squarish crystal looks like plagioclase feldspar

It appears to have broadly rectangular cleavage suggesting (if it were feldspar) orthoclase; pink colouration: plagioclase Likely real-world facts: somewhere between the two Rhodonite? The jury is out. More images / info required. Lovely cab all the same!

I seem to have a problem viewing your images. I couldn't see the posted pic of the wire wrapped piece in the other thread, either.

There's just a big minus sign where a picture should be. I wouldn't say I'm annoyed and I am sure it is not your fault. Just letting you know. The stone at the link doesn't look a whole lot like rhodonite I've seen, but it could just be the picture or lighting.

There's quite a bit of it in BC, Most of BC is accreted ocean bed and islands with a lot of mineralization from sea creatures to volcanics

i'm not seeing embedded images either. However your photo does look a lot more like rhodonite than before and guess what ... ... It has a perfect, prismatic cleavage, almost at right angles. So there you go! I know that it is found in the area, so apologies if we rubbed you up the wrong way and you knew all along?! But the first image just didn't look the part.[/quote]
