I'm a crappin' ya negative, Dave. The man in the coveralls.
Beside a blue recycling receptacle.
That's just funny stuff right there. The "man" that you see is a spot in that rock that probably wasn't sillicated enough and didn't take a polish. If I had noticed that in advance of the photo, I'd have flipped the rock over. I have to agree with you though...it looks like someone standing there. I'm laughing out loud. Dave Flash Sync time in a dark studio has zero to do with blur or depth of field. Flash provides all the light. If you are using TTL flash then just close down your aperture and get the depth of field. Doesn't matter what room you use. Heck, use the bathroom! Ha!

aDave Don't ever run polish for much longer than a week in vibe. Maybe follow your footsteps on this Dave. Ok 2 weeks on next set and see if mine get shinier. Decent now but not like yours. Good set !! Just making sure you know that all this was in a rotary. You're using a Loto, right? Maybe Garage Rocker can help you fine tune. Dave

The second great set in a row Dave. Don't you ever screw it up? Any problems with the turitella pitting or not polishing evenly? How long you run them in Polish? 6 days.. Thanks for the compliment Cliff. This group of turitella went much better than the last round, as there was much less undercutting and breaking apart. Polish for this batch was 2 weeks (same on the last one). While I'm happy with these results, I'm wondering what a 3 week polish stage will produce. Hmm...might just let my current batch go for that long. Best regards. Dave aDave Did you see that used lap equipment that Capn Bob posted in your area? Yep Talked to Randy..

Yes, I did...thanks for the tag. Not ready to jump into a large saw yet, but I have asked the guy some questions about the ST-10. Sounds like all of this stuff was his and not picked up in a large lot sale. Said he was into slabbing years ago and needs to downsize due to moving. Dave

They all look great, but I really like the turitella. I have had a lot of problems with that material in the past.
