Friends with a giant RV have invited us on a 2 week road trip to Az, Vegas & southern Utah in October. They aren't into rocks so probably won't be any hounding. Already have some suggestions from coloradocliff on sites to see like Lower Antelope, Bryce, etc.. Anyone have any other "must see" sites? Would like to talk them into going to meet a certain retired geologist in southern Utah.... Thanks

Around Las Vegas there is Red Rock Canyon or my favorite Valley of Fire. If you don't mind a little hiking I also love the bristlecone pines up at Mt Charleston.
