Thought I would share where I find most of my great rocks. This the entire property. This was taken just after fields were planted in 2017.

Lots of land! Must be a lot of work, but the finds are great!

Think it has something to do with being on edge of glacier advance to the NE and glacial Lake Wisconsin to the W. Whatever it is, I love it.

You should find a Geologist to figure that out for you......Could get some interesting facts...LOL THis statement sure makes total sense fernwood . Lots of times we have great treasures and awesome materials that are closeby by and we travel forever to get to a known place with depleted materials. I have thought this for a long time. Just so much for a person to get their head around. We all cant know every thing about every where. Rock clubs help in a way, a forum ike rth helps too but a geologist who works in an area for years and years, would be the more in depth local source.

Yes, have been working with a geologist, Natural Museum Curator and UW Geology Dept Chair. Plus my Son in Law is a good resource, since he took all the Geology classes offered in college. They have been a huge help, but do not want to bug them too much.
