You have one right between the two of you. Thanks for playing! Anyone else want to guess before I give another try?

I'm going to guess... the little brown egg on the far left, and the flattish brown rock on the bottom left in the group of 3 browns.

The "egg" is not in the group of three, it is in the far left, middle height of the whole bunch

If any of you have figured it out, go ahead and let it fly. Kind of a well hidden 'contest', which is good, if you know about it.

My second crack at this is the dark brown rock at the top of your group photo (the left of your two brown rocks), with the second one being in the 5 o'clock position just below the rock that I mentioned. Geez, I hope that makes sense. ETA: There are two dark brown rocks at the top of the group. First rock I'd pick is on the left side. The second rock is just below that one in the 5 o'clock of the big rock. I can draw a pic if need be. Dave

I typically do homogeneous batches. I mix stuff in the rotary, but I try to separate it in the Lot-O. I know it's not necessary, but that's just what I do. Speaking of mixes. There are actually two imposters in the Bot group pic. Can you, or anyone spot them? I'll offer a smallย prize toย the first personย that get's it right.
The dark one top left and the little triangle at its 5oclock?

The other oddball could be a Laker at 9oclock

.... and that's why some take up tumbling. Not me, but I can understand why others tumble and I'm glad they do. What an outstanding bunch. Thanks!

Guess number two: the biggest rock on the top (left one of the two dark rocks) and the small red rock on the left of the whole pile.

Guess number two: the biggest rock on the top (left one of the two dark rocks) and the small red rock on the left of the whole pile. Love the new avatar, Rob.
You got the two stones correct. That is KY agate at the top, you can see a slight yellow within the black if you look closely. I missed it in the earlier KY agate pic and added it to this group. The small red one, as pointed out by lookatthat , is not a Botswana. Like @shotgunner said, that is a Laker.
Now, was that an official guess that Scott made, when he said it 'could be a Laker at 9 oclock'? He had the KY agate right on the first guess. Leave it to Scott to foul up my game. Kidding, buddy. I'll give you both credit for the win. I'll send you a little something, Rob. Scott, need another small box?
Thanks for playing! aDave
ETA: the other nondescript stone at 5 o'clock from the KY agate that a couple of you guessed is just a plain Bot without any real banding. There's a little on the backside, but also a crack I didn't want in the pic.

I think Scott should win for identifying one of the imposters.

My prize came a few days ago. Randy was prescient and sent me some goodies with a Lot-O cap.
Randy, give it to Rob. He is a gentleman and a scholar.

I think Scott should win for identifying one of the imposters. I bet Scott won't mind if I give the prize to Jennifer for spotting that Laker as an imposter. That was the tough one, I thought. It was just a matter of putting it together after she got everyone looking there. Besides, those two West Coast guys have access to all the cool rocks they care to bend over and pick up. aDave @shotgunner
What say you, lookatthat , could you use a small box of quality tumbling rough? If you want it, PM me your address. If you don't, I guess I have to send them to Scott.
ETA: Guess I was typing at the same time. Rob is one of two names on my list to get something from me, when I come up with the right thing. He sent me some Petoskey stones and I haven't forgot.

You might not have forgotten, but I did. I was just rereading some earlier comments in this thread thought that "New Smryna" sounded familiar. A friend of mine moved there a couple years ago. He and his wife got me started in lapidary. He hunts at the same deer camp that I do. Now that he moved, he stays with me for a couple days before deer season starts. He sold me a flat lap before I bought my first tumbler so I could polish Petoskey stones, They make some nice jewelry that they sell on their Etsy shop..
