I woke up at 4AM this morning. Today is our 56th wedding anniversary, so while waiting for Naoma to decide what exciting thing to do today (probably stay home) I decided to see what Google Earth Street did with the grand Canyon October 2012 to test their new Back Pack equipment. The white lines are where they drove around Grand Canyon Village. The Kaibab trail decent point. Then they took the Kaibab trail down into the canyon. www.nps.gov/grca/planyourvisit/upload/SouthKaibabTrail.pdfTrying to follow them is a clumsy trial, so I skipped way ahead and found: Wow! This means there were two cameramen and at least one helper. I searched this area and found this image: A Google Camera Man AND some interesting rocks! What is that? Serpentinite? Their technology allows me to spin around and look ant nearly anything I want to at that location. LOOK at that WALL! Some one else looked at it. There is a mine tunnel. Should we take time to explore further?

Must be. I never heard of serpentine being in the canyon before. That is old volcanic ocean bottom!
