tough tough tough to say anything with certainty from the photo.
Burro Creek area has a jasper that can be pale or muted to quite purple.
I wouldn't bet the farm on any guess I might make on this one.

No color reference in the image to gauge stone color.
Sodalite?
Tim is right on too.maybe dumortierite.
I'll add iolite to the maybes.
Can you please offer us a scratch test?

if its soft maybe lepidolite? Can a steel knife scratch it or does it just leave a smear of metal on the rock?

Take a knife, and scratch it across the stone. As Tim said, tell us if the stone scratched or the knife left metal on the stone. Tell us a lot. Please do this with all stone identification.

With new pic I am kinda leaning towards a dark sodalite as well.
