A unique opportunity was presented to me, but need some expert advice. I am so out of the loop when it comes to modern lapidary equipment.
Looking for recommendations on the following. Would have about $4500.00 total to spend on all equipment, accessories, supply of grits and polishes. Not a lot, so thinking entry level.
Two-barrel rotary tumbler or possibly a Vibe. Never used a Vibe before, but they look interesting. A 6” trim saw.
Mini drill press.
A cabbing machine. Never used one of these either.
Do not know if it would even be possible, money wise. These items must be purchased new.
I can set everything up in my 1st floor utility room, which has a hot/cold water supply, plenty of electricity and natural light. The utility sink presently discharges on my lawn outside via a long pipe with elbows, but can easily remove the pipe and discharge “sludge” directly from the sink into a pail. My washing machine discharges into the sink.
Proposal must be submitted Thursday afternoon.
Thank you.

Thank you. that's a lot of money imo, search ebay just so you can get some ideas as to what's available and prices, then pick a place that can answer questions after your purchases and provide customer service.
