Hello everyone. This summer we spent our vacation in our favorite spot - Lesvos Island. As many of you know, it's not the first time when we go there, but this time we made there a special visit: when we tried to visit the pertified forrest park, we found it closed for refurbishment so we went to the Museum of Sigri (a small town and harbour in the western side of the island) to ask about the park. We found out the park couldn't be visited this season at all, but they told us about a short boat trip on the very small island of Nissiopi, which is very close to the Sigri harbour (it offers a very good natural shelter to the harbour). The main attraction on this island are some petrified tree trunks but the crown jewel is a small beach were the petrified wood of all sizes and colors lay on the sand and in the water. They are so many that it's literally harder to find a rock that is not pet wood. Enough talking, here are some pictures from there: Thank you for looking, Adrian
