We go out every Saturday looking for something different to do. Sometimes it's just a back country drive, sometimes dedicated rock hounding, sometimes just scenic photography. The best is when we include all three! We got shut out of a burn area couple of weeks ago. Saved the day by going up Dry Forks Rd to an area where I've found tumbling sized agate. On the way out we stopped at Brianhead to fill a few pails. Didn't go to the Creek, stopped short and searched the South side, it was productive. A sampling: "C'mon, throw me my disc": The smaller Agate"

Nice finds and great scenery! Would love to be able to go out and fill a bucket with nice rocks close to home.
Does your dog attack the water coming out of the hose also? I can't wash the car, water a plant, spray the patio, clean off rocks or anything else without my pup going all spastic on the water.

I feel very fortunate to be able to get out and collect some local rocks. My wife loves this and our best friends are taking an interest. Thanks for the comments.

I would love to live in an area with the variety of rocks you all find in Utah. Will have to plan a trip out that way soon.
