I'm drawing a blank on this one. I think I knew what it was at one point long ago but I lost those brain cells.

Is it fairly soft? Looks like dendritic limestone. I've seen lapidary material exactly like that from a mine in Germany and a white variety from California. Another beige type comes out of Nevada. I have a couple of slabs somewhere but it does not have dendrites that well defined. I also have a pink form from Lake Valley, New Mexico...Mel

You have some of the neatest slabs and cabs. Thanks! Just have a knack for being in the right place at the right time I guess. This piece was a slabbette - one cab wonder - the size/shape you see is only slightly smaller than the way I found it an old cob web covered box at my local rock shop. Very productive trip it turned out to be.

Makes a lot of visits to an old school rock shop, does a ton of hounding, and hits every show humanly possible. Then when in these venues he is diligent and observant. Ever seen a guy where magnifying visor in the field? I have! Tommy! Yes, Tommy. You have earned all the accolades that find you. Hard work and perseverance pays off! Woot!

Here it seems to others so easy for you. They don't see how much effort and care you actually put in. Yes, back on my naughty mat.
