I finished four new cabs last night and couldn't being myself to put two of them up for sale. Each is unique (to me) in its own way. This Alabama Paint Rock cab was cut from the prettiest piece of Paint Rock I have ever seen. I don't remember buying it but it's just awesome. It's almost 60mm long and weighs 100 carats. It looks like either a volcano erupting, or an atomic E.T. My lighting makes it look like there's a scratch at the bottom, but there isn't. This Bruneau Jasper cabochon a yellowish hue to it, and if you tilt it a little to the left it looks like the Partridge Family's partridge. Those of you under the age of 40 will have to take my word for it. It's a really substantial cabochon at 50mm long and 9mm thick. Again, the lighting makes it look like it has scratches. I really need to do something about my photo setup! Now I need to get to cutting some stuff to sell! Although sales have been so slow lately it sometimes doesn't seem worth the effort.

They are both beautiful! Do you usually make cabs in this size range? Big is definitely beautiful, at least in cabs.

Seriously, both slabs lent themselves to big cabs. And I'm finding less and less Bruneau lately that I'll use the full thickness of the slab when I can.

Very nice Cabs. Not making cabs yet, just shaped preforms for tumbling. When I cut a very nice pattern in a rock I just trim it up a bit trying to preserve as much as I can.

The paint rock is extremely beautiful. The partridge is spot on.

They're both beyond beautiful. If I'd have to choose a favorite, it would be the Bruneau.

Great cabs! I have no experience with Paint Rock but your stone is great. As a native Idahoan I have to tip my hat to the Bruneau. It's a color variation I've never seen before.

Nice set. The paint is sweet. Love the swirls of red in it.

Both are wonderful, but the volcano eruption is super sweet!
