It's a cheapo tile cutter. Works on porcelain and ceramic tiles. Marginally. Takes some skill for success.

slab cutterI had not seen one. Company is long gone, but was in Idaho. I would not call the process precision slabs though.

If shipping wasn't so high to send it to the east coast, I would be tempted to get it and try it for 15.00.

We have one, rarely use it. Doesn't work well for 1/4" cab thickness slabs but for thinner stuff it's pretty accurate. now that I think about it maybe I'll find a cubby for it on the WIP nifty intarsis, doublet, triplet bench I'm building.
