Hi all,
First real post to the forum. I am about to start my first tumbling ever and wanted a little advice/opinions on the batch of rocks I have. However, I am having some trouble uploading pictures as attachments as the post limit per attachment is 1 MB. Does anyone have any advice?
Thanks,

You have to use a third party such as Flickr.

Welcome! You'll find excellent sage advice here, I have greatly benefitted by reading the posts here.
Pat has it right, you need to use a 3rd party photo hosting service, then post a link to the photo here.

Photos that are larger than 1 MB are not friendly to forums or the internet in general.

I use imgur, it's pretty straightforward. You just open the image in a new tab (right click it to find the option) then add it to posts with ["img"] without the quotes, the link and then end with "[/img]" also without the quotations.

One can post pictures here using the attachment button without having a hosting service. Think this is why we have it now, so new folks can participate without having to jump through a lot of hoops. Pretty sure the photo will need to be resized ( made smaller - take it from megabites to kilobites ? ) before you can use the forum hosting option.
Maybe someone with less on their plate today than I have can explain the process more clearly.
ETA: thinkin' there is a thread somewhere on how to do this.

Welcome. I use tumblr for my photo hosting. I just click "Copy" after I right click a picture, then I go to hit "Insert Image", then I paste the link into the space provided.
Works like a charm.
