Pay in advance via check via mail at administartive location, pick up at another. They are not set up for small purchases with out accounts. You can meet me there, I will give you a bag, or ship it to you. i don't want to sell or resale SiC. Not my motive.

This is the LFRB of bulk from notjustone screened. Blue colander for BB's. Fine steel screen for SiC 20/30 and smaller. 70% is SiC 20/30 and smaller (5 gallon bucket, full white square tray, and black plant pot) 20% is BB size. (white square tray lower left) 10% is 1/4" to 3/8" (white square tray upper left) If I use 1 cup of 1/4" to 3/8" with 1.5" to 2.5" rocks I may have a tablespoon of big chunks left in a 6" PVC/6 pound barrel. ****I use a fresh charge of colloidal clay every clean out/recharge. If I use 1 cup of BB's with 1.5" to 2.5" rocks I have no chunks of left. ****Fresh colloidal clay each clean out/recharge. Keep in mind I use about 5 gallons of colloidal red clay about every 3 months running five 6 pound barrels. Either way, you could toss the 30% large stuff and still come out way cheaper at $34/50 pounds. The BB size is actually my favorite because it takes a full 7 days to break down. I have about used it up. The receptionist is asking the management if they want to sell in units of 50 pound bags. And I need to tell them if there is enough interest here to fool with the small quantities. It seems not thus far. MrMike and Wooferhound I will send you a MFRB of unscreened to try. I think what your gonna find is that 90 plus percent of the forum will not be able to use this. its appeal will be to the hard pvc barrel and large tumbler guys. but for those guys its a HUGE reduction in grit cost.

I think it will work great in the Loretone 6 pound barrel. Even if it doesen't breakdown it seems it would make the best Smalls ever. Plus with my Grit Recovery it should be the 'grit that keeps on giving'.

hehehe jamesp to think he was happy going through life buying grit in 50 lbs bags when needed. and now is buying 700 lbs at once. "IVE CREATED A MONSTER" your welcome snicker snicker I've already used up 2/3 of that LFRB notjustone. Love this stuff. I don't want people to give up on this concept. I use thick colloidal clay slurry and little 6 pound PVC barrels at a conservative 30 RPM and have little problems with left over grit. Rocks a bit on the large side. Not going to guarantee that kitty litter is colloidal. Kaolin clay is colloidal. Some kitty litter is colloidal, some is non-colloidal Florida gumbo clay. I used 12 pound Lortone barrels for years and ran SiC 8 and SiC 16 with colloidal clay with no leftover grit. Colloidal clay is the coup de gras of tumbling slurries and will float these big particles so your rocks will grind them up. Google "colloidal slurry". It is about all made out of kaolin. Industry standard for abrasive operations. It is usually sold pre mixed and costly or you can throw kaolin in your barrel. If running the bigger particles I often end up with about a tablespoon of these at clean out:

my luck they would get nicely rounded and end up breaking in polish stage lol When I do a clean out from the rotary I use a restaurant pan with 1/4" holes to make sure most of the chunk SiC falls thru and is not transferred to the vibe. The occasional big chunks I pick out by hand. I once missed a chunk and ran a polish with a chunk of the SiC in the load and it came out polished. The polished chunk of SiC did not seem to leave any scratches. Had it broke in the vibe, yes, it would have released sharp particles and scratched the rocks. I try to avoid that situation.

Looks like the barrel is not even 1/4 full, bet they just slide around the bottom with no tumbling.

How much faster is the barrel wear? Some time ago you made sch 40 pvc barrels and said a couple of years minimum. As I recall you then went to sch 80 barrels. How long do you estimate the barrel life to be with the ungraded sic?

How much faster is the barrel wear? Some time ago you made sch 40 pvc barrels and said a couple of years minimum. As I recall you then went to sch 80 barrels. How long do you estimate the barrel life to be with the ungraded sic? Looks like it may be about 3 years youp. The PVC pipe was sch 40 unfortunately which is not double layer in the middle of the barrel. The middle of the barrel wears slowest. But eventually the barrel will wear in half between the fittings where it is only a sch 40 pipe thickness. Had I cut 2 inch long sch 40 pipe and sleeved it to double thickness at that gap instead if using the green SDR 35 thin wall pipe I might get 5 years. Or use sch 80 pipe. Normally the cap end wears out first but two 1/4" layers of sch 80 circles before glueing cap on put an end to that problem. These barrels were built with express intent of rolling individual one and two pound rocks which probably adds to the wear rate. And they spend a lot of time on the 55 RPM shafts.

Someone say Super Sack??? Makes you wonder if notjustone will be unloading... I’m thinking some distracted forklift operation, maybe he’ll be texting while driving
