I rubbed this tumble on 80 grit sandpaper for 3 minutes. kk, probably some fine carving stone.

Sounds like easy to carve, but will it hold edges all the way to polish? Material looks similar to Tianhuang Jade, highly valued in China and which is actually a serpentine soapstone mixture.

I believe is serpentine with a degree of silica well blended. Sure holds up in the tumbler well. I would consider it with strong mechanical properties. Dense. I believe it is from China.

Neat stuff. Going to try to shine it up manually?

Neat stuff. Going to try to shine it up manually? I should try. Rubbing it on a wet wash cloth laced with aluminum oxide polish should get the job done. I have some Linde 50,000 if I can find it.
