Sunday morning I was reading RTH and eating a bowl of cereal when suddenly there were rocks in my mouth! Fished them out and they were pieces of teeth. My dentist Monday said there wasn't much left of the tooth, the best choice was to plug it with a temporary filling and replace the temp as long as possible before doing something drastic. By this morning I estimate 1/4 of the temp was gone. I just got back. He put in another little dab and gave me the tube. Squeeze out a little dab, press it in place, bite down to get a fit, be careful for a half hour. It looks like the tubes cost about $6 each. Amazon wants you to have a business account and license before they will sell it. Best to get it from your dentist?

Yikes! My dentist sells prescription tooth paste. Ask him before you need another tube. Good luck!
What a surprise!

There's lots of hits on Google about regrowing teeth. Not sure how realistic the science is.

There's lots of hits on Google about regrowing teeth. Not sure how realistic the science is. Sounds like there are 2 separate approaches being studied to do this: one using stem cells, the other using a drug ( article). So far, it has only been done in mice. Yeah, like we need mice with more and stronger teeth

With my luck I'd grow teeth on my eyeballs.

The problem with doing this at home is that most people will not properly clean the base before applying. This can trap bacteria under the paste leading to more problems.

With my luck I'd grow teeth on my eyeballs. Ever seen tumors with teeth? They can also grow hair.

Of course, I'm reading this before heading to the dentist to have a wisdom tooth pulled! 8:00 AM appointment, get it over with.

Of course, I'm reading this before heading to the dentist to have a wisdom tooth pulled! 8:00 AM appointment, get it over with. I had mine chiseled out 40 years ago. I thought "good, this is a little guy." The first blow just about broke my neck and I saw blood spatter on the ceiling! 20 blows later he moved to the second, then 3rd and 4th. He stood about 5'-2" but would have easily won the Dental Olympics!
