A friend of mine and I went out to Burro Creek a few weeks ago to enjoy the great weather and few cold brews. Just so happened to find some nice rocks as well. Here is a nice chunk of the Purple. link1Nice piece with some poppies? link2
Another unusual slab. link3

Nice! I drove past Burro Creek last month and was very tempted to stop, but I don't know anything about where the good hounding is or how good the road in is. Neat area, one of the more scenic parts of AZ.

If I can help anyone with collecting there let me know We went in from Nothing, a small stretch did require 4x4 to get over some boulders, but once you hit the main rd i was in great shape. We noticed there was an active bentonite mine activity, they must be maintaining the roads.

Hello, I will be going to the Burro Creek campground area in a few days. I plan to spend a few days there doing some rock hunting. I know they find a variety of material there but I don’t know the locations. I have a UTV to get around on and collect with. Any information on collecting sites would be greatly appreciated.
