I got this in a collection, it had no label of where it was found. The hardness is difficult because of the matrix. The blue is like chalk. A black light does nothing. Attached are pics. Hope they help. I have one guess but not a lot of options right. Can't do SG

This might not even be worth the trouble. Could be leaverite ore? I did get more pieces but they all look the same. I was thinking "peacock ore" but I see no iridescent colors.

Update....without pics
I think it's peacock ore The collection is from the 1950s They talk about it will tarnish real fast. So, I used Coke or vinegar, both with good results. Shows the iridescent colors but to stop the Tarnishing, I'm trying clear finger polish. Will post results after more testing.

Krylon makes a clear spray on finish I have used in the past. It is a lot more permanent than fingernail polish and works on rocks well, in addition to other materials. I think the original use was for green fired ceramics which the maker could not fire in a kiln. Dunno what the composition is for sure, but I have used it on many materials and it works great.
over time, the fingernail polish can yellow or chip off. This paint is permanent, for at least 15 years and counting, which is the longest I have had a piece I used it on. My norm is 4 cats over 2 days. Even though it says it is dry in about 15 minutes, I allow 12 hours between coats. Allow to dry in a warm area with minimal humidity.
