I've always said dumb blonde only applies to brunnets that have dyed their hair to be like us natural blondes. Chemicals got to the brain. đŸ˜‚

I love how people assume I'm an "air head" based on my hair color.....let people think I'm dumb and underestimate me. Makes me laugh Perception is not always reality

jamesp , so am I to understand that you like the sound of breaking glass? Are you doing this from scraps/slag or are you breaking perfectly good glassware to make these pretties? The bowl isn't my taste, but the little fragments of it are beautiful. It reminds me of surfite. I picked up a couple of chunks of it on eBay (REALLY spendy), and have been playing with it. I'll post some pics soon. Sorry if I've missed a new chapter in your life, I haven't been on these boards for MONTHS for a variety of reasons, and am just scanning through what I've missed. Been looking for you. It's been a while. Don't make yourself so scarce. You figured it out, smash and tumble. Lots of thrift and discount stores here to get glass cheap. Newer generation not to keen on displaying dust collectors. I about have to buy glassware before they haul it to the dump. It is simply not being purchased anymore. Estate sellers can hardly give it away. Let's repurpose ! jamesp, I've been looking for me, too! Long story, but I've been spending an inordinate amount of time in PT and doctors' offices, and trying to keep up with my day job in between. I just wondered if maybe you were doing some glass blowing as well, and this was the slag from it, or if you were just "re-purposing" glassware. I have some beautiful depression glass and things like that, and it is tucked safely away out of sight for that reason. I wonder if that will ever make a comeback, because it would be a shame to see that all relegated to closets and thrift shops. I have done some stained glass, and I was just remembering that I had saved a bunch of scrap in a box somewhere. I think I'll pull it out and see what I can do.

Sorry to hear you are being poked and prodded my the medical community. The age of ailments is here and thriving. Why can't we trade this in for a 30 year old model. Wish you well. Glassware seems to have hit an all time low point. formal/living rooms are out and great room replaced them. No place to store the dust collectors. Maybe I am saving them from a more sinister destination in tumbling them. Glass jewelry is hot. Once that vintage stuff is destroyed there is no replacing it... Apparently it is all about trends. Hope you get your medical issues sorted. Used to complain about ailments when young, new ailments shadow old ailments, life not fair.
