It was in the forties here in Michigan yesterday, so I fired up the slab saw in the garage. I don’t think I’ve ever done that this time of the year before. I cut a few slabs of some really nice Kona dolomite from Marquette, Michigan. They’re actually much more pink than the pictures show.

Those are some of the best Kona slabs I have seen in a long time. Sweet!

Those are great ones. I took advantage of the warm weekend and cleaned the garage so at least now I can get to my saw. Hard to believe that it is 6:00 in the evening right now at the end of January and my kid is out in the driveway playing basketball with a bunch of friends. They were all in t-shirts earlier but when it got dark we made them put some hoodies on. We raise them tough here in Michigan.

It wasn't quite so warm here today. In the high twenties or low thirties, I think. Sure was nice yesterday though.
