Hello everyone,
My name is Grant and I'm new to this forum. I was heavily into rock tumbling as a child and and now 35 and re-exploring some of the area again to get my children interested in the sciences and nature. My girls are 5,4 and my son is 2 1/2 years old.
I just purchased a nice 4.5 lb Lortone tumbler (same brand that I had growing up 25 years ago) and a bunch of nice rock and grit supplies to go with it.
I'm always after information to make sure I know what I'm doing and any hints etc.
Thanks!

Hi Grant!
I've only been here a week or so looking around and have learned soooo much compared to the tutorials and instructions for tumblers. See you around!

Welcome Grant! I played a little sax myself when I was young and was pretty good at it ... I often regret abandoning it in high school but I discovered cars and girls, not necessarily in that order I hope your daughters get enjoyment and it sparks an interest that lasts a lifetime.

Howdy and welcome... Besides rocks, it sounds like your a musician too... Are ya'?? Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. I am a musician - somewhat. I was a jazz performance music major and biology major in college. So I can play a bit =) My real time gig is pushing propofol as an anesthesiologist. My more ideal scenario is full time playing the sax and having the money for my hobbies, lol ! I am happy to be here and learn more about the hobby and continue to educate and excite my kids too. Thanks, Grant

Cool to hear Tommy, the sax is pretty sweet.

I love the sax- probably my favorite instrument. I loved Dick Morrissey in the 80's. RIP.
