Being from SoCal, succulents do very well here. I have aspirations of making my front yard xeriscape. And then plant with annuals and perennials from Madascar. Have a look at the genera Allouadia and Pachypodium. Love those!

I have a couple of 20++ year old jade plants. One in a pot and one in the ground. I've probably tossed 100#++ of cutoffs! If you want a sprig to start your own, PM me. This goes for all members.

Never saw the variegated jade. Me likey!
Mine is here. With a red line on the edge of each 'leaf' (sepal?).

Never saw the variegated jade. Me likey! Mine is here. With a red line on the edge of each 'leaf' (sepal?). The regular variety will get red around the edges. The variegated is gorgeous but it is a little more fragile for some reason. I'll send you a cutoff if you want

I may take you up on that when I get caught up with projects. Thank you.
Likely more fragile due to lack of chlorophyll protecting the tissue. Sunlight harms it,but is vital for life. A happy medium must be met.
Plus, less chlorophyll means less plant food.
