Hi everyone!
I am brand spanking new to this hobby, but I am jumping in with both feet! I am a 27 year old single mother of a beautiful 4 year old girl living in Northern Ca. Definitely looking for some new friends who are also into the hobby!
It all started with one single rose quartz sphere. I just fell in love and started collecting all kinds of spheres and other specimens of rocks and minerals, and before I knew it, I saw some GORGEOUS ocean jasper rough and naturally I had to buy a tumbler 😂😂 I do have a question about my first batch, but I'll put that in the proper section.
Just wanted to say hi!

Good evening and welcome to the forum from North Carolina. A spur of the moment decision to take my 7 y.o. daughter to a gem mine helped rekindle my interest in tumbling from many years ago.

Welcome to the forum from Arizona. I'm not in southern but I'm not in northern so I guess I'd call it south central Arizona.

Welcome to the Forum mamarhea from Vacaville! Lots and Lots of friendly people here Glenn Yayy!! I am only about an hour from you! I am in love with that huge rock shop off of I-80! I am in there all the time. They have some amazing stuff. I really wish that the owner was open to trade/barter! I have a HUGE collection and would usually prefer to trade. Yay another Cali person!! Thank you everyone for the warm welcome! I look forward to getting to know you all better.

Welcome newby from Atlanta. I live about ninety minutes from the only star rose quartz mine in the US. The charge is $30 a day but you get to fill up your truck. Gem quality star rose quartz at the "world famous Hogg Mine in LaGrange, Georgia". I use quotes cuz I think its Trade Marked. Nicest people own the place and you can also pick up really pretty aquas and tourmalines and huge mica books. Get my big yard rose quartz yard boulders there. I might post them one day.
