I'd say that was a great day's work. You're getting faster. They look great. I'm lovin the moonstone. Glad you like minerken's dops. I generally use the heat from the 50 and 100k to help get the stone off. You can put it in freezer for a long time, too.

I love the moonstone, so easy to work with, but fragile. I really want more of it, but I think his prices were too high. Spent $5 on that tiny piece

MsAli If you would please. The rock that is 5 up from your cab on the minerken dop stick, that I think looks like Quartzite (granualr texture) but has red and browns and pepper spots in it, would you post an image when you finish cabbing it and let me know how it cabs. I am curious if it is hard or soft, if it takes a good polish or not and if you had to do any special treatment to get your results. BTW there is a brown spot that looks pithy like pyrite decomposed to limonite and then partly eroded out. That is an interesting rock and would be interested in any feed back you have on it. Enquiring minds want to know. TIA!

There is one yellow spot that just crumbled (Iron?, Limonite?) The rest seems pretty solid I will let you know how it does when I get around to cabbing it.

MsAli Do you have any of Billy's WI Moonstone? It has some nice flash and is more cost effective.

MsAli I am very happy that you liked the dops. It's worth more than any monetary contribution to see someone with your passion and obvious native ability to excel, and hope that I may have contributed to some small degree. Keep up the great work.

BTW did you ever manage to get them off I had a major blonde moment and actually left them behind. I am going out Saturday to learn about Obsidian so I will pick them up then and figure out how to unglue them
manofglass sent me a bunch of preforms that I glued today. Maybe I will do a practice one to see what method works better
