Summer is here, time to be out and about. No Rock hunting for me as there is nothing around. Except will spend a day in a Jademarket in China by mid month. Summer for us here means lots of storms and thunderheads are a permanent feature in the landscape. So before I have to go to China for the rest of the month, I did a night-walk with my younger one up to the cabin. Clasasroom Setting by Kainzer Kurt, on Flickr Dark at times, and thunderheads floating by left and right, makes it a nice atmosphere. While she kept occupied, I made up a target and cleaned the shooting-range, set the distances for 20 and 40 meters. Shooting range by Kainzer Kurt, on Flickr Dang,... 40 meters looks far. Will need some time to work myself up to it. With the new phone, a new hobby seems emerging. Before I looked more for landscapes, now I'm more into animals big and small. I really like your macro shots, especially the frog. Thanks for sharing! Actually, my phone allows me to get as close as an inch and a half to a subject, and then I choose zoom times two. No macro on the phone.

Great pictures, thanks for sharing. That friendly neighborhood visitor doesn't look very friendly but doesn't look too mean either.

You are having a lot more fun than me Here I am cooling off 2 days ago Wondered what's up with the chair. Looking at the temps everyone is talking about, I would be sitting in the pool and have the water coming over my head.

The temperature has been a few degrees below normal this year so far here in North Alabama. Highest so far this year has been 94f or 35c degrees. I can handle the heat much better than my friends. They will be melting and I will be mowing the grass. Keep hearing about Record-High temps around the globe associated with global warming but it's missed us here so far. The highest I remember here was between 105f and 110f over 42c but only lasted a week.
